Quicker Better Meetings
Background and Objectives
Impact Factory has partnered with UKTV on a range of programmes since 2012. They provide support to teams throughout the organisation by focusing on professional development in areas such as communication, leadership, and collaboration. Their strategies also include methods for conducting quicker and better meetings to improve productivity. In fact, their Quicker Better Meetings UKTV partnership has been a significant focus.
As part of this ongoing relationship, UKTV invited Impact Factory to deliver a 90-minute session on Quicker, Better Meetings. This session aimed at improving time management and meeting effectiveness for their team. The session addressed common challenges, including lengthy and unproductive meetings. It aimed to equip participants with practical strategies for quicker, better meetings, making them more focused, efficient, and purposeful.
The primary objective was to help attendees re-evaluate how they plan, conduct, and participate in meetings. This was to save time, reduce stress, and increase productivity across their teams as part of the Quicker Better Meetings UKTV initiative.
Programme Overview
Led by Paul Hughes and Ottillie Parfitt, the session combined reflection, practical tools, and interactive activities. These were designed to raise awareness of current meeting habits and introduce new ways to manage time effectively within meetings. Participants explored how minor adjustments—from preparation to setting boundaries and delegation—can transform meetings from time drains into productive, energising spaces. The key was quicker, better meetings to maximise productivity.
The session encouraged a mindset of conscious choice. It focused on what matters most and how to protect time without sacrificing collaboration or engagement.
