Train the Trainer 60-Minute Webinar
Background & Objectives
TikTok approached Impact Factory to design a practical and energising 60-minute Train the Trainer webinar session for their internal trainers and facilitators. The aim was to boost confidence, share best practices, and offer tools for engaging audiences, handling challenging scenarios, and structuring learning sessions with intention. The focus was on creating a Train the Trainer webinar session that was both informative and interactive.
While TikTok already has a highly engaged, fast-moving internal culture, this train-the-trainer webinar session provided valuable space for reflection and skill-building to help facilitators deliver sessions that truly land — whether they’re sharing knowledge, running onboarding, or hosting team sessions.
Programme Overview
Led by Ottillie and Tina, the session modelled excellent facilitation in action. From the opening moments to the final review, participants were invited to reflect, contribute, and practise new tools in real time, embodying the principles of the train-the-trainer webinar.
Using whiteboards, breakouts, Mentimeter, and guided discussions, the session followed a simple structure:
- Engagement – setting the tone and building rapport
- Handling ‘Difficult’ Scenarios – exploring personal challenges and responses
- Structure – designing with the end in mind using the Kirkpatrick Model

- Opening with Purpose:
- Identifying personal strengths using Mentimeter and group reflection during the train-the-trainer webinar
- Engaging Your Audience:
- Clarifying What’s In It For Them (WIIFT), energisers, and inclusive framing
- Qualities of a Great Facilitator:
- Creating and tailoring questions before, during, and after sessions
- Handling Challenges:
- Identifying real-life ‘difficult’ scenarios and using practical tools to respond confidently in the context of a train-the-trainer webinar
- Structuring for Impact:
- Introducing the Kirkpatrick Model and discussing optional delivery formats (slides, demo, quiz)
